“Wines with soul”

Established in 1987 by Lea and the late Willie Brown.

  Still family owned and operated by son Shawn  - “I have a single goal and that is to produce

wines favoured by Pop’s approach, ...that they be reflective of their vintage and receive

minimal intervention in the making”.

  Our boutique vineyard comprises 4.5 acres of closely planted vines, was established in 1987,

and is placed amongst the oldest of Martinborough’s wine producers.

  We still use cork - which is damn near odd in the New Zealand wines industry now. We

believe cellared wine develops best under cork. The Portuguese have expended a huge

amount of effort to overcoming “Corking” and for the most part have succeeded.

  Our wine’s include a Pinot Noir aged in French Oak and typically unfiltered, Mareth, an old

school Cabernet \ Syrah styled blend barrel aged for 3 years. And of course, Apres - This wine

liquor has a loyal following appreciative of its up front sweetness and dry brandy finish.

  New release’s of Justa Red, White Apres and Pinot Blush by the end of 2010  complete our line up . We offer a mail \ phone ordering

service in New Zealand and will post wines anywhere in the world.
